“I do this for those who are hopeless and exhausted and need encouragement to help keep going. I do this to inform listeners with what I believe is critical knowledge and spark the artist in all of us.” – T.S.S.
Spend five minutes with him and you will come in contact with his passion. For music. For people for Christ.
It all makes sense if you know Corey Morton, who was born and raised in Sacramento. The 29-year-old husband, father and preacher knows first hand the transformative power of God. He used to be a heavy user of drugs then began selling drugs for fast money and profit, manipulating women and men to get what he desired, leaving them lost and confused. Which is why he is so excited about being a new creation, why he is so zealous about sharing the gospel with others, why he is so passionate about serving and uplifting.
And that unbridle excitement over the Lord is captured in his newest production, “Tune Up 4.0″
The album is musical call to repentance, featuring banging beats and hooks that are sure to get stuck in your head. The goal for T.S.S. is to enlighten people who are suffering and going through heartache, declaring their struggle is a sign of a need to change. The signs for the need to change lifestyle are evident in the prevalence of death, unhealthy marriages, single-parent homes, depression and suicide rates, and financial distress. Living for Christ will not only correct some of the ills that plague our lives but will also help us better deal with these issues.
The Tune Up 4.0 is a project that seeks to motivate those who want to change, to plead to those who need to change but are blind to their condition, and to encourage those who are already living for Christ.
It’s a call for everyone to give his or her heart to God, to choose the mind of Christ. Like cars, we all need a tune up.
This is to be the first commercial album on Royal Lineage Music Group, the brainchild of T.S.S. He started the label not only to express his talent but to create a platform for many to get under the influence with him. Together, they can create a lineage founded on their bond with King Jesus, use the ever-growing Christian Hip-Hop genre to impact their community with the love and Word of God. Call it an urban renewal project.
Royal Lineage Music Group started in 2013. T.S.S. and B-Bless’d, a Detroit native with a strong CHH resume and a passion for the Lord, got things off the ground with the single “G1KB: God First, Kingdom Business.”
In 2015, they dropped the label’s first mixtape, “Light Em Up.” It was T.S.S.’s debut production and gave a preview of that passion, his spiritual swagger and affinity for banging beats. With its high energy and inspiring messages, it was the perfect set-up for Tune Up 4.0.
This fulfills the vision of the Royal Lineage Multi Media Music Group. It is a record label that specializes in getting unique artists to express their talents to the world. From hip-hop, to rock, to pop, to reggae, RLMMG is an outlet for all those who have a talent for music and a heart to serve God.
The future plans also include a mainstream radio show, musical production for films and an aggressive advertising campaign.
When his RLMMG hat is off, T.S.S. can likely be found at the Parkway Church of Christ. With his wife, Adrienne, and son, Caleb, T.S.S. is a pillar at the congregation and in the lives of its members. His magnetic spirit and willingness to serve is known throughout the city and into the San Francisco Bay Area.
Fellowshipping. Giving. Sharing the gospel. Providing. Teaching and nurturing. Sacrificing. Struggling and suffering. Repenting. Praying. Loving.
T.S.S. can rap about living under the influence of God … because he lives it.
